Teen Credit Card Debt

Not many people have to take look at debt statistics to see where teens with credit cards are on the charts. Teens account for a large portion of those in credit card debt. With getting out of debt as difficult as it is, many of these teens will grow up to be adults with debt. US statistics should that teens who carry these cards are more susceptible to find themselves in debt than the average adult. Teens who carry a balance on their card often carry a high balance which means, it's not just a small debt showing up in the statistics, teens are actually digging themselves into some fairly deep holes.

It is important for teens to be aware of how credit cards work. Credit cards may make teens feel more adult, but many of them aren't ready for the adult problems that come with these cards. There are many publications out there for teens to read that teach about credit cards and the responsibility associated with them.
